How Much Does a Professional Resume Writing Service Cost?

Compare a résumé-writing price with the work it includes: intake, document scope, collaboration and delivery requirements. At Ivy League Résumés, Resume Wizard starts at $249.95 and the Customized Résumé Service starts at $499.95. The services use different intake processes and provide different sets of documents.

Choose a career level that reflects the role’s scope and seniority. The service-selection guide or a conversation with Keith can help clarify the appropriate engagement. Review the written scope and payment instructions for your selected service before purchasing.

What explains the difference in price?

Keith’s original article emphasizes the writer’s work, the intake process and the deliverables when evaluating a service. A questionnaire-based engagement and an engagement with a discovery conversation require different kinds of participation. A résumé and cover letter are also a different scope from an expanded portfolio of application, outreach and follow-up materials.

Ask what will be produced, what information you must supply and how the documents will be used. A higher price by itself is not evidence that a service fits your needs or will produce a particular employment outcome.

Questions to ask before choosing

  1. Which documents are included? Confirm whether the engagement covers a résumé, cover letter, plain-text version, biography or other materials. Do not assume that LinkedIn writing is included in a résumé package.
  2. How is information gathered? Check whether the service relies on a questionnaire, a conversation or both, and prepare accurate career information.
  3. When does delivery timing begin? Distinguish the purchase date from the date complete intake and any required discovery conversation are finished.
  4. What happens during review? Confirm the review process and any revision limits in the current written scope.
  5. Who performs the work? Review the writer’s relevant background and look at samples suited to your professional level.
  6. What terms apply? Read the current terms of service and refund policy before committing.

Review evidence as well as price

Use document samples to assess structure, clarity and presentation. Read published client feedback in context, and review Keith’s background. Examples and individual experiences do not establish what will happen in your own job search.

Prepare descriptions of your responsibilities, achievements, dates and target roles. A writer can help organize and express that evidence, but should not invent accomplishments or credentials.

Keep additional services clearly scoped

LinkedIn optimization and recruiter distribution have their own service descriptions. Confirm any additional work and price explicitly. Broader career strategy and interview coaching remain separately scoped through Ivy League Coaching; they are not automatically part of a résumé-writing purchase.

The purpose of this comparison is to help you choose suitable writing support. No résumé-writing purchase guarantees interviews, an offer, salary growth or a particular return on the fee.
